Boudoir, Maternity, Child, Family and Event Photographers
Welcome to Forward Photography. We are Milwaukee-based photographers specializing in boudoir, expectant parents, children and families, as well as event photography.
Our art is a fusion of passion for nature and passion for preserving memories. The result is timeless artwork consisting of beautiful souls in beautiful spaces. We thrive on fusing your essence with the beauty of nature or the architecture surrounding you.
We offer a combination of lifestyle and posed moments to tell your story. Capturing the sweet golden hour light with the setting sun is one of our signature looks. We enjoy working in natural light but are happy to compliment it with artificial light to achieve the right style.
If you're looking for a colorfully classic gallery featuring you as the centerpiece, then you have come to the right place.

What To Wear
The first thing to consider is the look you're trying to achieve. Are you looking for your images to be casual or formal, classic or modern? Where will these images primarily be displayed? What are the tones of the rooms they will be displayed in? What's the location of your session? The bedroom, beach or board room all lend themselves to a unique look and each call for different ensembles. What season is it - are there spring flowers or fall leaves present?
Ideally, you'll want to wear clothing that fits properly and you are comfortable in. If you are uncomfortable, it's going to show. Wear something that allows you to move easily. Clothing that is structured, as opposed to oversized, helps visually maintain the natural shape of the body.
Will there be more than one person being photographed together? Look for coordinating outfits over matching outfits. Do your best to try to limit text, characters and busy patterns. Accessories are a great way to add style and often provide a nice pop of color.
When in doubt, Pinterest!
Suggestions For A Smooth Session
Relax! There are so many things to check off your 'To Do' list before your session, but that's all behind you by the time you arrive - if it's not - no worries! It's time to leave all of that stress in the past. Let us help you relax, have fun and freeze time for awhile.
Get some sleep. We all want to look our best and the best way to do that is to get enough sleep. Nothing helps keep those dark circles away better than a good night's rest. If you find anything that works better than that, let us know…we want in.
Do come happy, don't come hungry. Let's face it, 'hangry' is a term for a reason. Nobody's happy when they're hungry. Eat before you arrive. If you want the best odds of children smiling, bring a snack or a sweet treat for them to the session. For the best odds of a smiling photographer, bring a vanilla Americano :)
